Shoe Tree Tulips

Shoe Tree Tulips

This is one nutty shoe rack – after all, if something costs you a whopping €199 when a simple shoe rack from IKEA costs a fraction of that price, why would you go for the former? I guess if you are rich enough to own multiple pairs of Manolos and Jimmy Choos, then an extravagant and yet artsy shoe rack like the Shoe Tree Tulips would blend in nicely with the rest of your home. The colors are fresh, no doubt about it, and so is the design. You can even join several Tulips together, resulting in a large and whimsical tulip flower bed.

Tipsy drink glasses are totally unique

Tipsy drink glasses are totally unique

No, it is not your imagination going wild after you have had your 10th shot of vodka in 10 minutes, and neither is it the after effects of a Flaming Lamborghini. These uniquely fashioned tipsy drink glasses will retail for £65 for a pack of half dozen, and since all of them rely on gravity for the deformation process during manufacturing, you can be more or less assured that no two are the same. Definitely perfect for those who want to be truly unique at all times, and want to stand out from the rest of the crowd. As for me, if I were to get drunk, I might as well settle for regular glasses that don’t cost so much even when they break in case of accidents.

Recon Instruments Supports Contour Cameras

If you are the sort that is really into action sports, you will probably really like the Recon Instruments goggles. These goggles have a little display integrated so you can get all sorts of detail on the ski or snowboard skills you have at any given time.

Contour Camera

The Android based electronics has an app that lets you see how fast you are going, what your jump hang time is, and your altitude among other things. The company has announced that it has now updated the goggles to support the Contour+ and ContourGPS cameras that are out there.

Both of those cameras have Bluetooth and with the update to the Recon goggles you can now use the little screen on the goggles as the viewfinder of the camera. That means you can check to be sure you have the camera aligned properly and shooting what you want to see.

Qmadix Boostpac Quick Shot Battery Breaks Cover

If you are an iPhone user looking for a battery pack that will keep your device charged on the road, the new Qmadix boostpac quick shot has debuted. The battery will launch soon and the price is unknown, but I don’t expect it to be expensive. The device will charge more than the iPhone or iOS devices alone.

boostpac quick shot

Inside the rectangular case is a 1200mAh battery. The battery has a USB port on the side to charge other devices as well. If you have the charge cable it should work with just about anything including Android devices. The circle of LEDs on the front of the battery pack shows how much power is inside.

The battery measures 2″ x 1.4″ x 1″ and charges via USB. It appears to have an iPhone charge adapter connected to one side. I would bet the battery pack is in the sub $50 range when it launches, which probably will be soon.

Dexim LED USB Cable lIlluminates Your Sync Process Indicating How Fast Your Device Is Charging

Dexim has created a new style of sync cable that adds a little more sparkle to the boring traditional sync and charging cables, currently available. Using the Dexim Visible Smart Charger cable you can actually see how fast your device is charging. Light flowing through the cord at a fast pace means your battery charging level is at up to 65 percent. After 65 percent the light will flow at a slower speed, and once fully charged the light will shut off.

The Dexim Visible Smart Charger cable is also equipped with an automatic shut-off feature which helps you reduce unnecessary standby power when your device is not in use up to 85% with Dexim’s integrated green technology. Simply plug the charger into a wall socket to save power without unplugging your devices.

The Dexim Visible Charger cable has been designed to help save you money, energy and the earth, says Dexim. Dexim’s Universal LED cable available to purchase online from Amazon for around $20 or £11.

Kinectic Powered Leaf Mouse Concept

If you tend to go through your mouse batteries in a matter of days or weeks, there are a number of handy induction, and docking style gadgets that will allow you to recharge your batteries during rest periods. But wouldn’t it be great to be able to charge your mouse while you worked.

Kinetic Mouse

Designers Lu Hairong and Zhang Xuehui have created a new concept mouse called the Leaf, that does just that using the power of kinetic technology. So rather then lowering your battery usage when moving your wireless mouse around. Using the Leaf mouse concept you can now charge it whenever its moved.

Unfortunately the concept is still just a idea on paper at the moment, but surely there is technology available that would help save the world from discarding a few less batteries. lets hope it makes the jump from concept to production in some form or another in the future.

Netflix Drops Plans To Rent Video Games

Last Autumn Netflix announced that it would soon be starting to rent video games through its service. Unfortunately for anyone looking forward to this new features Netflix has this week announced that they will now be dropping plans for this. CEO Reed Hastings made the announcement in an investor earnings meeting call earlier today, explaining that the strategy is no longer one that the company finds viable.

Netflix

The new games rental service was expected to to be part of the company’s Qwikster DVD-by-mail spin-off that was announced alongside Netflix’s streaming price increase last fall. However the Qwikster DVD-by-mail spin-off was soon closed after negative feedback from Netflix customers

Whether Netflix will re-address the service in the future has not been mentioned so if you were hoping to rent a game or two, you out of luck. But you can be sure that game rental company Gamefly will be very happy not having to deal with competition from Netflix.

Other announcements made this morning included notification that 3D, Blu-ray 3D discs are being sorted for addition to their range of products, and the company stated its still “looking into” streaming 3D, but has no plans to bid for current seasons TV series.
